James Robert McCrary

James Robert "Jamie" McCrary, age 44, of Pinckneyville, died suddenly at his home on Sunday morning, April 14, 2002.
Jamie was born November 4, 1957 in Pinckneyville, the son of Rob J. and Paula J. (Spies) McCrary. He was united in marriage to Debra Ann Peradotto on Dec. 9, 1983 in Woodbury, Tenn., and she survives. Jamie formerly worked as an iron worker with Local 392. He graduated with honors in May, 2001 from Southern Illinois University in Carbondale with a degree in Rehabilitation Services. Jamie enjoyed playing music with his friends.
Jamie is survived by his parents; his wife; three children, Anna Mae, Emily and Jay; three sister, Angie McCrary, Robbie Morganthaler and husband Greg and Jayne Ann Stanfill and husband Rich, all of Pinckneyville; a good friend, Darrell Cope, numerous other nieces and nephews and his musician friends.
Funeral services were held at 11 a.m. on Wednesday, April 17, 2002 at the Beaucoup Baptist Church in Pinckneyville with Rev. Mark Lee and Rev. Rob Mathis officiating. Interment was in Mueller Hill Cemetery, Pinckneyville.
Friends called at Pyatt-Harrawood Funeral Home in Pinckneyville from 6 to 9 p.m. Tuesday; and at the church on Friday from 8 a.m. until the hour of services.
Memorials may be made to the McCrary children's college fund.
